The meeting was held with people with disabilities

EHR P.A in the framework of the project evaluation of execution of UN convention about rights of people with disabilities and preparing of the alternative report to UN committee organized the following round table with a group of peoples with disabilities on September 17, 2011 from 12:00 till 15:00 in the office of Public Association.
There were discussed the main problems which disturb Nizami region Dumb Society, Karabakh veterans and other people with disabilities.
During the meeting it was determined that the building (which locates in M.Sharifli street) of the people with disabilities (who have hearing and speech problem) who live in Nizami region has incomplete infrastructure, their anxieties from dangerous location of the building for life and not being gas provision of the same building from 1991, generally the main problems which people with disabilities face in social life, as well as problems with education and medical service, it was defined that it is not taken necessary steps for improvement of discriminative atmosphere against them in society and serious problems on social securing of people with disabilities expect their solution.
It was stressed by people with disabilities as the main problems that medical service is in poor quality, being down from living minimum of the social means (allowances), discriminative treatment by persons who engaged against people with disabilities, serious disturbances in approaching of apartment and other concessions for people with disabilities and not being public support in work provision of people with disabilities.

It was planned to do an inspection to the hostel on the date of September 19, 2011 which situated in M.Sharifli street, where people with hearing and speech problems live.
